Project Description

Life can get messy…and having the support of a trusted therapist, who provides a safe space to work through life’s challenges can make a truly positive difference in our lives and worlds. Gaining deeper insight into who we are and why we do the things that we do helps us to grow and change, even through challenges. Hannah approaches therapy as a dance between the client and the therapist, where she allows the client to lead her on their journey. Hannah creates a space of both comfort and depth that allows clients to explore the inner workings of their minds as well as their day-to-day lives and relationships. With attention to both past and present aspects of her client’s experiences, Hannah holds the space for both exploration and solution-seeking.

Since each person and challenge is unique, Hannah believes in drawing from several different therapeutic practices and tailoring various theories and techniques to her clients, depending on what they may need at the time. Hannah works collaboratively, discussing and sharing her treatment plan with clients and drawing on aspects of psychodynamic, existential, narrative, and multicultural perspectives. Hannah has worked with adults and middle school-aged youth and has experience treating and working with anxiety, depression, grief, sexuality, relationship, and family dynamics, maladaptive attachment, eating disorders, trauma, including childhood sexual abuse, and addictions. Hannah is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. She graduated with her Masters in Counseling from Adler University with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
